Non-commercial personal project. Turistar is a personal portfolio and demonstration app, not a commercial service.
1. Summary
We aim to minimize data. By default, we do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary to operate a basic demo.
- If no account or analytics are enabled, we do not intentionally collect, store, or share personal data.
- If you choose to create an account or if analytics/embeds are enabled, limited data may be processed as described below.
2. What we process
2.1. No-account, no-analytics usage
When you simply browse the site without creating an account and with analytics disabled:
- Technical logs. Our hosting and security tooling may temporarily process IP address, user agent, and similar technical data to deliver the site and prevent abuse. We do not use this data to identify you and we do not sell it.
2.2. Accounts (if available)
If account creation is enabled and you choose to sign up:
- Account data. We process account identifiers (for example, email) and authentication data to let you sign in and use the demo. Do not submit sensitive or confidential data.
- Content you add. Content you create is processed only to operate the app. Content may be deleted at any time in this demo environment.
2.3. Optional analytics or embeds (if enabled)
If we enable privacy-respecting analytics or third-party embeds (for example, maps or video players), they may collect limited technical data such as page views, IP address, or cookies. Where required in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, we will request consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner, if present.
3. Cookies
- Essential cookies. Used only for basic functionality and security. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics/embedded cookies. Used only if enabled and, where required, only after consent.
4. How we use data
To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the demo; to prevent abuse; and to respond to your messages if you contact us. We do not sell personal data.
5. Sharing
We may share data with service providers that help us host, secure, or operate the app. They act under instructions and appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
6. Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Because this is a demo, data may be deleted at any time without notice. Do not rely on the app for long-term storage.
7. International transfers
If data is processed outside your country, we use appropriate measures consistent with applicable law.
8. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent for analytics cookies where applicable. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children
The app is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 where applicable. Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age in your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app when feasible. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
